I have suggested to Cymdeithas Tywysogion and Cyfeillion Llys Rhosyr also other Medieval Interest 'bodies' in the North West - Gwynedd Uwch Conwy and North East - Gwynedd Is Conwy that they jointly hold an'Hands Across The River' event in Conwy at Statue of Llywelyn ab Iorwerth concluding with a rally at ruins of Castell Deganwy. See Post in this blog titled: A D
AY OUT TO LLANRWST, CONWY and DEGANNWY to Remember. Also see below as to why it is important to hold a Commemorative event at Castell Deganwy this year. Possibly over the August Bank Holday. This is to make the point to Cadw not to push 'Anglo - Norman Lords' of 'Marcher Wallia' over and above the. Native Princes, Lords and Chiefs. I know what your up to, if no one else has given it much thought up to now!

.Cadw has got hold of a load of money out of money out of the E.U. for an Heritage Tourism Initiative, if I know anything about Cadw & Co as the five year 'Junketing' of various bodies involved with History, Heritage and Archealogy joined together as the HERITAGE ENVIRONMENT GROUP - H.E.G. all to produce for the WAG 'One Wales Coalition' Minister of Heritage' Plaid's Alun Ffred Jones with a new 'Welsh Heritage Strategy'. Then Cadw more than likly as 'Junketed Away' much of the £19 Million from the E.U. plus no doubt made sure all the 'Usual Suspects' and largelly 'English Tourism Business Interests' are well informed in advance, not least a number of English Consultancies that patriots need to urgently check out.
.
I will tell you this much and, you will vomit! when you hear how much these 'consultants' have got paid, let alone what the 'Usual Suspects' might be getting out of all this. When we over the years have done much for nothing or very little income indeed, just our Patriotic enthusiasm going. Usually it's all been out of our own pockets and sad to say, I do not think there is going to be too much left in the 'Cadw Kitty' for the likes of us. We cannot totally blame Cadw, they have been making material associated with this E.U. Initiative available on their website and have been holding workshops. No! to some extent the buck stops with us, I mean what has Fforwm Hanes Cymru been doing, if not informing Patriots fully regards what has been going on?
.
It seems Cymdeithas Owain Glyndwr has been involved in some fashion? Whilst Embassy Glyndwr it appears was otherwise engaged and had taken their 'Eye of the Ball' but are at last taking a closer look at what Cadw's been up to re the Owain Glyndwr Initiative and the Embassy is none to happy it seems from what I read in their new blog:

GALWAD GLYNDŴR: CADW and the OWAIN GLYNDŴR STORY - A VERY FLAWED PLAN!

While on subject of Owain Glyndwr and in particular 16 Medi 1400 - annual 'Dydd Glyndwr' celebrations, the question begs to be asked:
Why is it the likes of Balchder Cymru and this new Cymdeithas Tywysogion insist that they hold their 'National 'Dydd Glyndwr' Commemoration in Machynlleth, very patriotically peculier? not lease perverse and obtuse to say the least! HHHhhhmmm? In the ''Sixties'' the PF started the Machynlleth Rally mistakenly, this was 'Patriotically Corrected' by Cofiwn, to holdng this annual Rally in Corwen and atop Caerdrewyn as it should be as one would if sticking to a proper understanding of our history and a commemorative 'norm'. I mean would you hold the Rali Cilmeri in Newtown? and of course would the English Commemorate the 'Battle of Hastings' in Shrewsbury? No! of course not, so 'BC' & 'CT' can you please get your 'Act Together' on this, try! as you are amongst those who are always prattling on about 'Patriotic Unity'. Can you try some of that re 16 Medi - Dydd Glyndwr - Corwen Commemoration and 21 Mehefin - 'Dydd y Senedd' Machynlleth Commemoration. What is your problem with Corwen, I think might know?
.
Of course there are alternatives, why not hold your own regional Owain Glyndwr events, as does the SGF at Abercraf in the North and why not you in Ruthin in association with the Corwen event or at Vyrnwy to commemorate the 'Battle of Vyrnwy 24 Medi 1400', I shall propose that one to Embassy Glyndwr myself. This Battle was the conclusion of Glyndwr's Great Raid from Caerdrewyn on 18 Medi around the North East to Oswestry.
I think it would be great place to to hold a Glyndwr event in this contested border town, kind of makes a statement! Indeed at this time Henry IV considered Oswestry to be very much Glyndwr supporting rebel territiry. So, maybe that could be on the cards one day?
.
Before returning West they camped and were then suprised on the bank of Afon Erfynwy. After a brief fight, the Welsh scattered west toward Eryri not wanting their captured baggage to fall into English Hands. Following a winter in the safty of Eryri. We next year of Glyndwr again suprised in the mountains above Dolgellau but then when the English attempt another suprise on Hyddgen in May of 1401 Glyndwr wins his first battle and as they say 'the rest is history'.

I do not know who 'Cymdeithas Tywysogion' are, their site appears alright bit I would be a lot happier if they 'Identified Themselves' especially as they are requesting people to send them money? I expect much more 'Inclusive Transparency' plus 'Democratic Accountability' from a 'body' seeking to be a Membership 'Driven' Society. I do not know what the problem is in ths direction as what I see looks excellent and the best I have seen in a long while re promotion of our medieval history. I am as per usual given no credit but this is a project out of an Initiative paper I sent out and only had the most briefest 'thank you', if one would call it that? So, I will retain a 'Pastoral Interest' in developments with much further support, for a must hopefully on going speedy development. So, yes! if your happy about donating to their funds and joining despite my 'Caveat' then do! However, do request a national conference fully and widely publicised, to constitutionally set up with elected officers for the Society asap.
