Conquest And Defeat Wales.
.
Cadw has been less than transparent in the way it has moved this Initiative forward, yes! they may say it's all been placed up on their Web Site but trust me after investigating the whole 'shabang' re how the Historic Environment Group came into existence and spent years holding loads of 'junketing' events for 'insider experts' to indulge themselves in much work shop waffling they finnally come to an agreement by which that 'expert' in history and tourism Mr Welsh Heritage - WAG Minister of Heriage Alun Ffred Jones gets his civil servant 'written up 'New Welsh Heritage Strategy'. Meanwhile what else comes of all that HEG 'junketing'. I can asure you, that you will be made aware of as sooner as later. Just as soon as I can get this Urdd Brenhinol Cymru off my back which I will suggest now be done as follows if this Cymdeithas Tywysogion Cymru does not itself become transparent fast, very fast plus implements means and ways to become 'inclusive' and not another 'exclusive' face book front for Adam Phillips and his merry band of 'Face Book Fusiliers'.
.
I continue to consider CTC a good way forward but, they must, I repeat name up front, their 'motivators' who have assumed responsibilty for advancing my original Initaive. Plus, I repeat they must not collect money untill they have named themselves and have a constitution and a well announced public meeting is held some where central and covienient to get to. Why! because the whole Patriotic Princes of Wales Initiative is an huge area to cover and requires a substantial good 'Medieval Enthusiast' membership involved, not 'patriotic Joiners' who do very little indeed other than turn up at Rali Cilmeri to annually blow off steam and do little else. I know there are good people involved with CTC not least the guys who are getting down to making heraldic flags and banners, that's an excellent start. However, there is need to move fast forward in all areas of this Iniative, particularly in the North East - Gwynedd is Conwy, Powys and Glywysing (Morgannwg & Gwent).
.
Because CADW intends to hand these native Welsh Royal Gwledydd over to an Initiative about the Anglo - Norman 'Conquistidores'. In this area it looks as if Patriotic 'Medieval Enthusiasts' might have to get 'combative' and campaign has Cofiwn would have 'Back in the Day', remember SARHAD'83? However, due to the behind scenes working of Cadw & Co behind the scenes long before Initiatives are put forward yu can bet your bottom doller that much is fixed in advance aka 'Fait Accompli' as with the 'Cultural Olympiad', this sort of 'Tammany Hall' behaviour has got worse since the 'One Wales' Plaid/Lab coalition at the Assembly came into existence (C'mon Rebecca Newydd, forget the 'Masons', that's old stuff, go stick your nose down in the politicians ' pigs trough' down in Bae Caerdydd).
.
So really study up on the last few posts in this blog, to see what they are up to, read between the lines and see what has been done and not done, be prepared to ask questions of Cadw and be critical. Not least ask to who are the Consultants involved and if their work was put to tender, request Finnancial reports and suss out the business consortiums and 'usual suspects' out of 'Creative Crachach Cymru' involved who have done little to advance 'medieval Interest' and enthusiasm unless large ammounts of money are involved and off course junketing (see that letter in Y Cymro this week re the Bards and poets junketing, tell me something new?). So, first get stuck into Cadw's web site again and as often as required, particularly in 'Marcher Wales' monitor their medieval events and activities, not least involving schools also regards their Anglo - Norman Lords Initiative where it is applied.

Next move, the problem with 'National Organisations' and 'National Commitees' is if one gets an hopless or 'ulterior motivated' committees with their own 'secret agendas', they can put the brakes on development and advance. Thus watch words need to be DEMOCRACY, TRANSPARENCY and INCLUSIVITY plus as much need for devolution, yes devolution of freedom to meet regionally and move forward regionally. This is even more crucial today and in times ahead where cost of petrol will parhaps forbid regular meetings at a national level, here also note NO MEETINGS INPUBLIC HOUSES FAR BETTER SUCH ARE HELD IN COMMUNITY CENTRES! Regards devolution, asap there must be established individual Initiatves for all the GWLEDYDD BRENHINOL CYMRU; Gwynedd, Dehuebarth, Powys (maybe Rhwng Gwy Hafren), Morgannwg & Gwent or as Glywysing. These perhaps be based out of their own Gwledydd - Native Princes Royal Houses - Court Sites as Aberffraw, Dinefwr, Mathrafel and Dinas Powys and Caerleon? Regional 'Gwledydd' developments as such will then be able to at least hold monthly or bi - nonthly meetings and also, I suggest each old a GWYL BRENHINOL CYMRU - Festival celebrating their 'GWLAD BRENHINOL'. Possibly in such a way as they do not clash with each other, as following programme maybe:
.
Samhain - 1st Nov - Gwyl Gwlad Brenhinol - Aberffraw/Gwynedd.
.
Imbolc - 1st Feb - Gwyl Gwlad Brenhinol - Dinas Powys/Glywysing.
.
Beltain - 1st May - Gwyl Gwlad Brenhinol - Dinefwr/Dehuebarth.
.
Lughnasadha - 1st Aug - Gwyl Gwlad Brehinol - Mathrafel/Powys.
.
It being possible following discussion between all concerned in above, for such to be held on a rotating basis.
.
Representatives of the above then could establish a Cynghor Tywysogion Cymru - a kind of grand Advisory Council linked by affiliation to Cymdeithas Tywysogion Cymru but retaining their 'Devolved Autonomy' and guarding such jealously as would the native princes of above 'Gwledydd Brehinol Cymru, see info below which will be of further help in all above areas, link:

There is a great deal out there on the web which will add to your knowledge in above connection, so do your own seaches, stack of stuff that will make you well informed on this subject. I shall continue to post up info re all these developments but rather passivelly as Cymdeithas T.C. is going in the righ postive direction,if it now takes my advice then it should develop as a positivelly useful society but Please! Please! blog or web site way forward, get away from this 'Face Book Fusiliers' rather teenager stuff! Otherwise, there is no reason for patriots to hold their breath and await on this Cymdeithas T.C, they can work towards their own Cynghor Tywysogion Cymru or perhaps so there's no confusion beteen two CTC's, the latter hence will be referred to as PRIF CYNGHOR TYWYSOGION CYMRU aka P.C.T.C. Maybe this body should work under the umbrella and on platform of TEYRNAS BRENHINOL CYMRU or maybe Tyernas Tywysogion Cymru, what do you think? Possibly best to first set up the regional bodies, then hold a national meeting to organise future liaison and coordination, deciding wether or not if above 'Teyrnas' suggestion is of use.
