Whatever it takes to make it as big and meaningful as this years Magna Charta commemoration in England. 2011 will mark the 795th Anniversary of the Treaty of Aberdyfi 1216 and I see no reason why commemorations could not begin next year in an organising sense, a meeting of all interested parties and groups could be called to a meeting in Aberdyfi during 2011.

So go to it! But none of this secretive face book nonsense from 'Hayes Honchos' or I will be on their backs untill they get real and drop the stupid 'Cymru 1400' etc stuff - 'Nash Nonsense!' and buckle down to serious politics or history enthusiasm in practise for real not just parading about. I cannot wait for the 800th anniversary in 2016, I may be dead? though, I spose it's not so far off really and a major National Commemoration then would coincide with the 100th Anniversary of Ireland's Easter Rising 1916 - 2016.

So maybe next year the 795th Anniversary could be used to promote idea of something bigger in 2016, thus why not initiate an annual Treaty of Aberdyfi Commemoration next year, plus weekend school on subject of 13th century Wales plus over the years then start planning and preparing for Treaty of Aberdyfi 800th Anniversary National Commemoration. On the whole that seems the better plan and do use Cadw Princes of Wales Initiative to serve this purpose, see below.
