CARNEDD GWENLLIAN ferch Llywelyn III, not I may add 'The Last Prince of Wales'.

.
.
Excellent job of work by Cymdeithas Gwenllian, they deserve to be much applauded for this initiative. This also provides not only good idea but points way forward for Patriots to seek out Mountain peaks in their area, yet unnamed or it seems named already as was Carnedd Uchaf now named Carnedd Gwenllian. So start searching and make yourselves a project to follow the above excellent example as above and name such after your local Welsh hero, or figure in history.
.
The cutting above is taken from the Western Mail, a feature pretty good in coverage but wrong Gwenllian illustrated, this is from a souvenir book and illustrates Princess Gwenllian the Warrior Princess , see this link: Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd (Gwenllian, daughter of Gruffydd) (b.c. 1097, died 1136) was Princess-consort of Deheubarth in Wales, ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwenllian_ferch_Gruffydd - Cached - Similar - Which leads me to think and consider, just why has there not been a society established to honour and inform on this heroic fighting female?
.
Maybe one could be formed asap with in mind the developing Cadw plans regards the Princes of Dehuebarth and Princes of Gwynedd Initiative. This is tied in with the recently launched WAG/MofH new Welsh Heritage Strategy, go see on web for further and full details, and note plenty of grants available to finance projects. In relation to this suggestion note my previous posts re 'BRENHINOL CYMRU' and also go see my blog: I'r Gad Welsh Battlefield Campaign regards fourth coming anniversary of the Battle of Grug Mawr which of course is associated with the Princess Gwenllian 1136 Story. Maybe good occasion for patriots of Cydweli area to run a field trip outing to Aberteifi to view possible Battlefield area and discuss setting up of a Cymdeithas Gwenllian 1136. Then get down to considering projects that may be associated to the whole story of this Princess Gwenllian - the Warrior Princess, in relation to the coming on line of many grants obtainable from numerous sources.
.
But act quick as the stampede for grants re Cadw's new Initiatives began two years back and already 50 Projects have been put up for grant funding. However, do not panic the Cadw plans run up to 2014 but do not sleep on it, as you can bet your last dollar that fast first in Que for dosh will be people, not least plant crachach and the arts types who have had little interest in promotion of our history previous. Not least I would wonder if they have ever been to any Patriotic commemoration, so don't let such get fat on your sweat over the many years passed! GO FOR IT NOW!

Gethin Gruffydd.
