CADW's LORDS OF THE SOUTHERN MARCH INTERPRETATION PLAN: They Mean Of Course The Anglo - Norman Lords and not the dispossessed Native Princes, Lords and Chiefs of the South Who Resisted The Conquest and Colonisation of Morgannwg and Gwent.

Well that's how it appears to me after, I must admit a none too deep 'sussing out'. I am after all retring from these Medieval Welsh Interest Labours  come November, that's why I sought to farm out this work to other patriots who would take a serious interest but I have been let down, as you will see from previous post. Thus, I have to press on a little longer in hope some patriots will come to rescue of my 'Princes of Wales Initiative' and fully understand why from a patriotic point of view, realising exactly what Cadw is up to. Quite simply, I repeat myself again, giving the former Welsh 'pura Wallia' lands of North and South West a full on Patriotic Welsh Princes Interpretation whilst the story of the native Princes, Lords and Chiefs of what became 'Marcher Wales', that is the occupied North East, Central Wales and South Wales will in main get story of the Anglo - Norman Conquistadores. This will certainly make it easy for Cadw to carry on us previous in presentation of Castle life and stories connected with the garrisons and colonial settlers in the Castle Borough Towns. In practise what this means is that English Medieval Reenctment Socities will be used and they of course will put on the usual presentations as they do in England. Not least it will be English Based Events Managment Organisations that will be organising the events annually and they too will have little interest in telling the Welsh Side of the story fully and effectivelly.

So I suggest here's what must me done and I am not concerning myself with North East Wales as I have told patriots in the North what they need to be doing but unfortunatly this 'Cymdeithas y Tywysogion Cymru' has been leading them up the garden path. So they are no longer  my concern whilst Powys is being taken care of effectivelly, so now my only real concern is 'The South'. I suggest 'Hwntws' get cracking in haste as follows:

1: Check out below for failings in the plan as far as the patriotic side of the story is concerned.

2: Come up with ideas for definate projects as re an alternative plan putting forward the Patriotic Story of Southern Resistence Struggles.

3: Establish a Southern Medieval Initiative Interpretation Group together with a meeting in Caerffili as being central to the South in general. Other than Caerffili, maybe the Sleeping Giant Foundation, Abercraf might sponsor a meeting, they have good experience of founding and hoolding medieval themed events and are ideally positioned to focus on Medieval Welsh Resistence in Blaenau Morgannwg into Brycheiniog.

4: Work towards establishing a Southern Medieval Interest Society to act as an effective lobby group as well as body to actually develope projects as Medieval Memorials, Plaques and Sinage also Trails as example a Llwybr Llywelyn Bren.

5: Consider developing a Southern Welsh Medieval Reenactment Society capable of putting on medieval themed events and activities.  Here, just maybe Cosmeston Medieval Village could be of assistence in providing information and maybe training in various medieval skills?

6: Other, you take it from there and do note what Sian Ifans is doing regards her very detailed 'sussing' of the Cadw plan for Gyndwr, to be published in full in November. Similar no less needs to be done regards the Cadw Marcher Lords of the South plan. See link below:

The Consultants who have put this plan together
and I am not saying they have done a bad job,
given the fees they are getting we should hope not.
However, you will have to detirmine if it's good
enough as for as the native Welsh side of the story
of Conquest and Colonisation is fairly and clearly put.
