SOUTHERN WELSH RESISTANCE TO THE ANGLO - NORMAN CONQUEST Did Not End In 1081, so why not commemorate and celebrate the struggle in the South? YES!!!!!

.
.
Now Southerners aka 'Hwntws', moan about 'Anglocentric' brain washing when it comes to the teaching of Welsh History but you know what? I think we 'Southerners' get a good dose of 'Gwyneddcentric' brain washing too. Time something was done about that so, pretty soon I shall take an 'Hwntw' revisionist look at our Southern Medieval History, starting with the Battle of Mynydd Carn 1081.
.
However, at moment I am more concerned that Southern Patriots geting off their backsides and stop day dreaming about 'Gog' Princes and patriotically piddling around waiting for the annual Rali Cilmeri. Instead get your head out of Anglo - Gwynedd versions of our History, Southern and other wise and, have a good rethink! For starters why are you not in the first instance at very least doing something about commemorating a great Southern Hero as Llywelyn Bren and the Rebellion he lead 1315 - 16, the last Welsh Rebellion before the Owain Glyndwr War of National Liberation 1400 - 16 - 21.
.
No, I have not forgotten 1345 'St Valentines Day Massacre' but it's not quite on the scale of 1315 - 16 Southern Rebellion, although I am all in favour of Northern Patriots commemorating the 'Northern Troubles' of 1345 and have posts up already on this. My concern at this point of time is in first instance the South and, Marchia Wallia on the whole, because in it's 'Anglocentric' way of doing things CADW has launched a great new Medieval Initiative for Wales, excellent but? The Initiatve comprises of a native Princes of Wales aka Gwynedd and Deheubarth Gwledydd, that is 'Pura Wallia'. However, for 'Marchia Wallia', they are to focus on the Anglo - Norman Marcher Lords.
.
So, my dear lazy 'Hwntw' Patriots especially those in Caerffili, Yea! Patriotically lazy or maybe patriotically bewildered? of course you are or, otherwise how could you let a statue be raised to Tommy Cooper and not Llywelyn Bren overlooking that Castle. Whatever, I urge 'Hwntws' to fast track on this matter, forget Elections and Eisteddfods and get down to something that really does need ASAP! your Patriotic Attention and Prioritization, as from yesterday? All those with such interests in mind might like to meet in Cosmeston this coming May BH weekend, see link >

Noting Gwent Medieval Initiative could be set up during Eisteddfod Week in Blaenau Gwent. Anyway think about it but please note we need action soon or it will be too late, to get grants and official help from CADW. Further, note. I really do suggest that 'Hwntws' go on outings to Mynydd Carn in the Preseli Mountains this Summer, possibly during the August B.H. plus this year give the Rali Cilmeri a miss and instead get your heads together on planning something big for an MMI to do re starting to commemorate Llywelyn Bren our great Southern Lord and our very own 'National Hero' annually, as from next year ok!
